Making the most during the lockdown, I gathered inspiration from my daily walks around our suddenly very quiet neighborhood. The colours of these flowers found their way into my painting.

I'm thrilled and honoured to introduce you to Phoenix Rose! Her unique approach weaves together seven years in brand identity and business strategy, along with training in Human Design, Reiki energy healing and spiritual practices. Phoenix supports women all around the world in embracing their authenticity, rising into their power and truly thriving.

Can you share a little about your unique approach to business?
My approach to business blends strategy and intuition. I believe they’re both so essential. Often, all the emphasis is on the strategic side of things — this is what’s shared or written about in the traditional realm of business. We often overlook the intuitive wisdom that lives within all of us. We have this powerful compass inside that we can use to navigate our way forward. It allows us to discern what’s in alignment and what’s not — because so often we try to follow someone else’s formula or pathway to success! We each have a unique way of rising up in the world and creating the life we truly desire.

Your podcast the Rise Collective – Business Aligned with Soul is truly inspiring. How is business different when aligned with soul?
From my perspective, aligning our business with our soul means that we’ve clarified how we’re called to show up in the world — our purpose in life — and we’ve created a business around this. I felt inspired to create a podcast devoted to soul aligned businesses because there are often unique challenges that come along with this. It’s definitely not always the easy path! We can come up against fear, insecurity, unworthiness, beliefs around money, old programming, and navigating the tangible steps of running a business that we love. (It can be a lot!) My hope is that this podcast will support all the beautiful businesses out there creating impact and elevating our world. Because it’s the soul aligned businesses that will truly change the world.

In what ways can creativity inform our life?
I believe that creativity is a direct route to connect with our intuition! By engaging in a creative practice, we move from the thinking mind into the heart space — this is where all the juicy wisdom lies. If we can integrate creative outlets in our life, we may discover the answers that we’ve been searching for!

Why do you think so many of us are feeling that the time has come to align with our inner truth?
We’ve hit a point in our world where we’re all waking up to the dramatic changes that need to be made. We can’t continue on in the way that we have been. We each have unique gifts — a role to play in our community and the world — and the time has come for us to stop playing small, and to show up in big ways. The first step is to clarify and align with our inner truth. Where is our heart calling us? What truth needs to be expressed? What’s the first small step?

I truly believe each one of us has a unique purpose to fulfill in life. How might we connect with that inner calling?
Creativity is a beautiful way to do this ;)

What practical steps might we take to share are unique gifts with the world?
Clarity is always the first step in my book. We can find clarity through a creative process, with a trusted mentor, coach or guide, being in nature, or the unique way that you may find clarity, (I often get insights in the bath!) The questions that I suggest exploring are: Why are you called to share your gifts? Why now? Why are they needed in the world? If you could zoom out to one year or five years from now, what would your life look like? What does success look like and feel like to you?

Once you have clarity surrounding the Big vision, begin to outline the steps to get there. Then, further break this down into little steps, and create a plan with deadlines. (Deadlines can be super helpful!) Each day ask yourself, what’s one little step I can take today?

I always suggest support when we begin to share our gifts with the world. This can look in many different ways: a coach, a circle of trusted friends, a weekly date with your business bestie, or even an online course with a community. We aren’t meant to walk this path alone, and support can make a world of difference.

How would you encourage all those who are called to step up authentically and create a ‘soul-driven business’ as you put it?
We all have to begin somewhere, and this is the perfect moment. I believe in you.
